1. Service Description
PacketSafari is a packet capture analysis platform. It allows users to upload, store, inspect, annotate, and analyze packet captures and related artifacts, including through automation and AI-assisted workflows.
Features, limits, storage behavior, upload sizes, and collaboration controls may vary by plan, deployment type, feature flags, or commercial agreement.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use PacketSafari. You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with applicable law, including export controls, sanctions, privacy law, and internal employer or customer restrictions.
When you create an account:
- You must provide accurate registration information.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and account access.
- You must promptly notify us of unauthorized access or suspected compromise.
- You may not create accounts by automated means in a way that harms, overloads, or abuses the service.
- You may not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
We may require additional information for paid plans, invoicing, enterprise access, or security verification.
3. Your Content
You retain ownership of the packet captures, metadata, notes, prompts, attachments, and other content you upload or submit to PacketSafari ("Your Content").
You grant PacketSafari a limited, non-exclusive right to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display, and transform Your Content solely as needed to:
- operate and secure the service;
- provide analysis, search, indexing, visualization, sharing, support, and export features;
- troubleshoot incidents, prevent abuse, and enforce these Terms;
- comply with legal obligations; and
- improve service reliability and core product functionality using lawful internal operational data handling.
You represent that you have the necessary rights, permissions, notices, consents, and lawful authority to upload and use Your Content with PacketSafari.
You must not upload content if doing so would violate law, confidentiality obligations, customer restrictions, or the rights of another person.
4. Sensitive, Personal, and Confidential Data
Packet captures and related artifacts can contain personal data, credentials, secrets, regulated data, and confidential information. You are responsible for evaluating whether you are permitted to upload that material.
Before uploading, you should review whether the capture contains:
- personal or regulated data;
- secrets, passwords, tokens, or private keys;
- confidential customer, employee, or internal traffic; or
- data subject to retention, residency, or contractual restrictions.
Where PacketSafari offers anonymization, privacy controls, private storage, on-prem deployment, or workspace restrictions, those features help reduce risk but do not eliminate your obligation to upload lawfully and appropriately.
If you choose to use cloud-hosted AI features, you understand that selected prompts, packet context, metadata, derived analysis results, and generated outputs may be processed by PacketSafari and relevant third-party AI providers or service providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Plan Types, Storage, and Visibility
PacketSafari offers multiple plan and deployment models, including self-serve cloud and on-premises deployments.
Depending on your plan or deployment:
- uploads may be stored in a shared workspace or private workspace;
- private storage, AI features, and higher limits may be restricted to certain plans;
- administrators may control access, retention, audit settings, and deployment behavior;
- enterprise or on-prem deployments may operate under separate order forms or customer agreements.
Current commercial plan information is described on our pricing page and, where applicable, in your order form or customer agreement.
6. Acceptable Use
You may not use PacketSafari to:
- violate any law or regulation;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights;
- upload or distribute malware or harmful code;
- interfere with the availability, integrity, or security of PacketSafari;
- scrape, exfiltrate, benchmark abusively, or reverse engineer the service except where non-waivable law permits it;
- access content, accounts, networks, or systems without authorization;
- use the service to facilitate unlawful surveillance, credential theft, fraud, harassment, or other abuse; or
- attempt to bypass plan limits, account controls, or security protections.
You also may not use PacketSafari in a way that materially harms other users, our infrastructure, or our service providers.
7. AI-Assisted Features
PacketSafari may provide AI-assisted features, including Copilot, Agent workflows, summaries, recommendations, and automated analysis aids.
These features:
- may produce incomplete, incorrect, or misleading output;
- do not replace human technical, legal, compliance, or security review;
- may depend on third-party AI providers or customer-configured AI endpoints; and
- may be unavailable or limited by plan, deployment mode, or administrator settings.
When you request or enable cloud AI features in SaaS mode, you authorize PacketSafari to send relevant request content, selected packet context, prompts, metadata, and analysis results to the configured AI provider as needed to provide the requested feature. Customer-managed or on-prem deployments may instead use customer-configured AI endpoints or disable cloud AI features.
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before relying on it for operational, legal, compliance, incident response, or security decisions.
8. Fees and Billing
Some PacketSafari features require a paid subscription, prepaid usage, or a separate commercial agreement.
If you purchase a paid plan:
- you agree to pay applicable fees, taxes, and charges;
- recurring subscriptions renew until cancelled, unless your order form states otherwise;
- plan changes may affect features, limits, visibility, and retention behavior;
- unpaid amounts may result in suspension or restriction of service; and
- except where required by law or expressly stated in a customer agreement, fees are non-refundable.
Pricing, billing cadence, and plan descriptions may change prospectively. Material commercial terms for enterprise or on-prem customers may be set by separate written agreement.
If you have a billing question, use support.
9. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using PacketSafari at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice where appropriate, if:
- you breach these Terms;
- your use creates security, legal, or operational risk;
- payment is overdue;
- we are required to do so by law; or
- continued service is not commercially or technically feasible.
Upon termination or cancellation, access to some or all content and features may end immediately or at the end of the applicable billing period, depending on the reason and plan type.
Retention, deletion, export timing, and backup behavior are governed by our Privacy Policy, product settings, and any applicable customer agreement.
10. Availability and Changes
We may modify, replace, suspend, or discontinue any part of PacketSafari at any time. We may also change features, integrations, plan limits, storage behavior, security controls, or supported workflows.
We will use reasonable efforts to avoid unnecessary disruption, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
11. Third-Party Services
PacketSafari may depend on or integrate with third-party infrastructure, payment processors, AI providers, storage platforms, identity providers, and other service providers.
We are not responsible for third-party services themselves, including outages, policy changes, or acts or omissions by those providers, except as required by law.
12. Warranties Disclaimer
PacketSafari is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and fitness of AI-generated output.
We do not guarantee that PacketSafari will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every workflow or regulatory environment.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PacketSafari and Ripka Technologies S.L. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, or data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to PacketSafari or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:
- the amount you paid us for PacketSafari during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
- 100 EUR.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, excluding conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Spain will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of PacketSafari, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of PacketSafari after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
16. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent through support or by email to contact@packetsafari.com.
